How To Spot A Fake 6X Support Call

How To Spot A Fake 6X Support Call

6X staff will never call or message you asking for your wallet password, API key, or SIP credentials. If someone does, it isn't us.

A pattern is showing up across the industry right now, not specific to 6X: scammers call or message people claiming to be "support" for a service they use, and try to get a password, API key, or wallet credential out of them under the guise of "verifying your account" or "fixing an issue." Here is exactly how to tell a real 6X contact from a fake one.

6X staff will never

  • Call or message you first asking for your wallet password, SIP password, or API key
  • Ask you to read out a one-time code you just received
  • Ask you to move funds, top up a balance, or send payment to "verify" your account
  • Pressure you to act immediately or threaten to suspend your account on the spot

What a real 6X contact looks like

If we genuinely need to reach you, it'll come from an official 6xcom.com email address, or through the support channels you already use inside your dashboard — never a cold call demanding credentials. We will never ask you to say a password or code out loud.

If you get a suspicious call or message

Don't give out anything. Hang up or stop replying, and log into your account directly by typing the URL yourself (not a link they sent you) to check your real account status. If you're ever unsure, reach out to us directly at support@6xcom.com or through your dashboard's support option rather than replying to whoever contacted you.
