Portal Languages — Switching & Setting for Your Customers

6X supports 8 languages across the Wholesale Portal, Sales Partner Portal, Docs, and Softphone. Here is how to switch your own language, and how Sales Partners can set a language for their downstream customers.

Portal Languages

6X currently supports 8 languages across the Wholesale Portal, the Sales Partner Portal, the public Documentation site, and the 6X Softphone: English, French (Français), Arabic (العربية), Spanish (Español), Italian (Italiano), Chinese (中文), Japanese (日本語), and Dutch (Nederlands).

Switching your own language

Every portal has a language switcher — look for the globe icon:

  • Wholesale Portal & Sales Partner Portal: click the globe icon in the top bar, next to the theme (light/dark) toggle. Your choice is saved to your account, so it stays selected the next time you log in from anywhere.
  • Documentation (this site): click the globe icon in the top navigation bar.
  • 6X Softphone (dial.6xcom.com/agent.html): click the globe icon in the top bar. The Softphone has no login-session language field — your choice is remembered on that specific browser/device instead, and applies instantly with no reload.

Switching language only changes portal text — buttons, labels, navigation, help text. It never changes your billing currency, your CDR data, or anything a customer or vendor sent you (chat messages, notes, uploaded files) — those stay exactly as written.

Setting a language for your customers (Sales Partners)

If you're a reseller with your own downstream wholesale customers, you can set a customer's portal language for them — useful when onboarding someone who hasn't logged into their own portal yet to pick a language themselves.

Open Wholesale Reselling in your Sales Partner Portal, edit the customer, and choose their language from the Portal Language dropdown alongside their other account settings. They can always change it themselves afterward from their own portal — setting it here just picks a sensible starting point.

A customer can also always pick their own language directly, at any time, using the globe icon described above — you don't need to do anything for that to work.

What isn't translated yet

Language switching covers portal UI text. It does not currently translate: documentation article content itself (article bodies stay in the language they were written in), or any content you or your customers create — call notes, chat messages, uploaded files, custom branding text, and similar.
