Opening a wholesale account

How to register for wholesale voice and SMS access on 6X.

Opening a wholesale account

6X offers carrier-grade wholesale voice termination and SMS to ITSPs, resellers, and enterprises worldwide.

Want to see current rates before you sign up? Browse the live rate deck at rates.6xcom.com — search any destination, switch currency, and calculate your monthly cost, no account needed.

Steps

  1. Go to app.6xcom.com/wholesale/register.
  2. Enter your company details and technical contact.
  3. Select services: Voice, SMS, or both.
  4. Submit your application.
  5. Our team activates your account within 24 hours.

Signing up through a provider

If you were given a signup link on a provider's own branded portal (their own domain or subdomain), the process is the same - register there. Your account is managed by that provider: they review and approve your application, set your rates, and are your first point of contact for support.

Signing a Formal Agreement Instead

For larger accounts, 6X may send you a link to a digital interconnection agreement at contracts.6xcom.com instead of (or before) the self-service form above — you fill in company, banking, and technical details and sign digitally on one page. See Signing Your Interconnection Agreement for what to expect.

What you get

  • Real-time rate deck for 190+ destinations (also public at rates.6xcom.com).
  • CDR dashboard with per-call billing transparency.
  • SIP trunk credentials, plus VOIP Login for immediate softphone testing.
  • SMPP credentials for SMS integration.

Guided tour

The first time you log in, a short guided tour highlights where things live in your wholesale portal - rate sheets, route test, inbound numbers, billing, and more. Replay it anytime from the nav (Take the Tour Again).

Testing your account (VOIP Login)

Once your account is approved, a VOIP Login card appears on your Overview page with a SIP domain, extension number, and password. Register any softphone with these credentials to dial out immediately - no IP whitelisting or trunk setup required. Calls are billed exactly like production traffic, so this is a real way to test your account, not a separate sandbox. VOIP Login is outbound only - it cannot receive inbound calls. If you need a real DID that rings through to your equipment, that is handled separately through your IP trunk configuration.
