Sell Rates: Pricing Your Customers
Set exact per-destination prices for your customers, with margin percent as the automatic fallback.
Two Ways to Price
Your customers can be priced two ways, and they work together:
- Sell rates — exact per-destination prices you set on the Sell Rates page. When a sell rate exists for a destination, it is used, period.
- Margin percent — a per-customer percentage set when you create or edit a customer. Used automatically for any destination where you have not set a sell rate: the customer pays your cost rate plus the margin.
Precedence
For every call and SMS: the system first looks for a matching sell rate (longest prefix match). If found, that price is billed. If not, the customer's margin percent is applied on top of your cost rate. This means you can set precise prices for your key destinations and let margin percent cover everything else.
Managing Your Sell Rate Sheet
- Add rates one at a time with the form — the prefix field auto-fills country and flag as you type.
- Edit rate, billing increment, and active status inline in the table. To change a prefix or country, delete the row and add a new one.
- Import and export your full sheet as CSV — the format matches your cost-rate export, so you can build a sell sheet from your cost sheet in a spreadsheet.
Benchmarking Against 6X's Public Rates
6X's own live rate deck is public at rates.6xcom.com — useful as a quick reference point when deciding where your sell rates should land relative to the wider market, without needing to log in anywhere.
Seeing Your Margin
Your cost rates are shown read-only at the top of the Sell Rates page, so you can compare cost vs. sell per destination at a glance. Your dashboard's profit figure is computed from the actual cost and actual billed amount of every call and SMS — accurate regardless of which pricing method applied.
