The 6X WordPress plugin adds a live chat and call button to your WordPress site instantly. Visitors can reach you with one click — no app needed on their end.
Requirements
- WordPress 5.0 or higher
- An active 6X business account — register free here
- Your 6X phone number (found in Dashboard → Settings)
Installation steps
- Download the plugin zip file using the button below.
- Log into your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Click Choose File, select the downloaded zip, then click Install Now.
- Click Activate Plugin.
- Go to 6X Connect in your WordPress left menu.
- Enter your 6X phone number (e.g.
447936508801) and save. - Visit your website — the chat and call button appears immediately.

Finding your phone number
- Log into app.6xcom.com/dashboard.
- Go to Settings.
- Your phone number is shown in the WordPress Plugin section in international format (e.g.
447936508801). - Copy and paste it into the plugin settings in WordPress.
What the plugin does
- Adds a floating call and chat button to every page of your WordPress site.
- Clicking Call connects the visitor directly to your 6X agent portal via browser-based VoIP.
- Clicking Chat opens a live chat window connected to your agents.
- No visitor account or app download needed — works in any browser.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Button not appearing | Check that the plugin is activated and your phone number is saved in settings. |
| Calls not connecting | Ensure at least one agent is logged into dial.6xcom.com. |
| Plugin upload fails | Check your WordPress max upload size — increase to at least 8MB in your hosting settings. |
