Getting Started: Signing Up and Branding Your Portal
Sign up, set your logo and colors, and find your way around the dashboard.
Signing up
Go to academy.6xcom.com/school and click "Start your free trial". You'll be asked for your school's name, your email, and a password — that's it. Your 7-day free trial starts immediately, and a free office extension and ring group are automatically set up for you in the background (see "Your Office Phone" below).
Your subdomain
By default your portal lives at yourschoolname.6xcom.com. You can change this slug, or connect your own custom domain, from Branding in the sidebar.
Branding your portal
From the Branding page you can set:
- Your school's display name and logo (shown throughout the portal and on parent-facing pages)
- A primary color, used across every button and accent in your portal
- A support email
- A signature and letterhead image — composited automatically onto every report card PDF your school generates
- Your bank account details — shown to parents paying fees or shop orders by wire transfer
Light and dark mode
Your portal supports both light and dark themes — toggle it from the sidebar at any time; your staff's choice is remembered on their own device.
Trial, subscription, and renewal
Your 7-day trial includes every feature in this guide. A few days before it ends you'll get a reminder email; you can pay the flat $50/year fee from the Billing page at any time, by card. If a trial lapses without payment, your portal shows a "subscription expired" page until you renew — your data is never deleted.
