Student Records: Library, Discipline, Health & Alumni
Book loans, incident tracking with automatic guardian SMS, medical profiles, and graduating students without losing their history.
Library
From Library, add books with a copy count, then issue a copy to a student with a due date — available copies update automatically as books are issued and returned. Parents can see their child's current and past loans, including anything overdue, from the parent portal.
Discipline
Any teacher can log a disciplinary incident from Discipline — minor or major, with a description and the action taken. A "Major" incident automatically sends the guardian a text message — no extra step needed, using your school's free included SMS. Parents can see their own child's discipline history from the parent portal.
Health Records
Health Records (admin only, since this is sensitive data) holds two things per student: a standing medical profile — blood group, allergies, conditions, emergency contact, doctor — and a log of nurse visits over time. Parents can view (but not edit) their own child's health profile and visit history.
Alumni — graduating a student
From Alumni, mark a student as graduated with a date. This keeps their full record — grades, attendance, fee history — completely intact, it just moves them out of active rosters: they'll no longer appear when marking attendance, generating fee invoices, or building exam/timetable lists. You can undo this at any time. The Alumni directory is searchable and filterable by graduation year.
Visitor Log
Any staff member can check a visitor in or out from Visitor Log — name, phone, purpose, and who they're visiting. Useful for any school's front desk, especially boarding schools.
